The Head of Civil Service Visits the Institute's Newly Established Muhammadu Buhari ICT Innovation Centre


The Katsina State Head of Civil Service Alh.Idris Usman Tune has paid a working visit to the newly established Muhammadu Buhari ICT Innovation Centre, under Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management.

On arrival, the Head of Civil Service was received and conducted round various sections of the edifice by Rector Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba.

Alh.Idris Tune expressed satisfaction over the facilities put in place by the KSITM for the purpose of ICT trainings, researches and enterprenueral development in the center.

The Head of service revealed that he has every confidence on the capacity of the management team of KSITM under the leadership of Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba as dependable entity committed to propelling ICT, enterprenuership skills and Technological Innovations in the state.

He added that with the establishment of the center , the Institute has all what it takes to become a leading Innovation hub in the country.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Rector of the Institute Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba said the center was built by NITDA for the state Government where the Government handed it over to the Institute for the purpose of ICT training, Technological Innovations and enterpreneural development in the State.

The Rector informed the gathering that the Institute is exploring more areas of collaboration with various agencies within the federal and state levels for the ICT related trainings with a view to ensuring digital literacy among the people and to boost the revanue base of the Institute.

To this end, the Rector solicited for more collaboration with the office of the Head of Civil Service for ICT training of all cardres of the civil servants in the State.

In a vote of thanks, the Registrar Malam Ma'a Balarabe expressed appreciation to the Head of service for attaching priority to the development of the Institute as well as enhancing digital skills among the civil servants of the state.

Presentation of survaigneers to the Head of Civil Service and his entourage was among the highlight of the occasion.
